Rector — Father Louis Thad Wheeler, Jr.
Father Wheeler is the former Associate Rector at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Washington, DC. He served as the Director of Youth Ministries and Pastoral Associate at Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Gaithersburg, MD. He has also served as the Chaplain for the Committee on Youth for the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Washington, DC. Father Wheeler has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, a Masters of Science Degree in Business and Management and a Masters of Divinity Degree from Howard University's School of Divinity. He also completed Anglican Studies courses at Virginia Theological Seminary. Father Wheeler has been working in parish ministry for over 15 years. He was formerly ordained in another denomination where he worked as a Pastoral Assistant and Youth Minister. Father Wheeler is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. He has been married to Tracy Douglas-Wheeler since 1989. They have two children.
